JetBlue Suing Walmart for Trademark Infringement Over Jetblack Name
JetBlue Airways Corp. is suing Walmart for trademark infringement in a bid to block the company from using the name “Jetblack” for a new shopping service. The Long Island-headquartered airline sued Walmart in a Manhattan federal court on Friday. JetBlue is accusing Walmart of attempting to profit off of the airline’s reputation. Jetblue claims that the naming is a “transparent attempt” to use the airliner’s intellectual property and that Walmart will create “significant consumer confusion.”
